The details

Lee Group (Lee Brothers Fencing) are commercial and industrial fencing specialists based in Melbourne. Founded in 1948, Lee Group deliver commercial and infrastructure projects solutions for rail, correctional, defence, education, public infrastructure and more.

We worked closely with the team at Lee Fencing to plan, design and build a new website that would better represent their business, showcase their expertise via projects, and build trust amongst both existing customers and new prospects by highlighting their credentials.

With the importance of first impressions, and a time-poor audience, improving the overall usability of their website was a high priority.

Maximising opportunities for conversions was also important, so time was spent optimising enquiry forms, quoting options, adding newsletter subscription site-wide, and ensuring important contact information was clearly visible at all times and on all devices (desktop through to mobile).

Delivering a better user experience for all of Lee Groups website visitors.

Since the launch of the new Lee Group website, interaction and engagement with their website has improved significantly.

Working closely with the Lee Group team helped us to effectively plan, and design their website with emphasis on better website navigation and more engaging layouts across their key pages, projects, products and industry sectors. The numbers shared below cover the 9 months since launch, compared to that of the previous period.

In addition to the below, an above average enquiry form completion rate of +9.5% and an 18% increase in the number of website visits to the Contact Us page.

+

Increased page views

Better page layouts and navigation has helped improved the number of website pages viewed by visitors.
+

Faster site loading

Users have a better user experience when sites load faster. Page speed is also a key ranking factor.
+

More time on the site

In addition to greater pages visited, overall time on the website has increased significantly.
+

Lower bounce rate

Across all website channels there has been a reduction in the number of single-page sessions.

A focus on usability and navigation

Using a combination of Google Analytics data and user-feedback, we were able to focus on providing a better user experience without changing the overall structure of their website; this was an imperative to avoid negatively impacting their current website indexing and page ranking.

Using a ‘mega menu’ allowed us to showcase all their products a lot more clearly than previously possible.

Similarly, landing pages were used to summarise the depth of content across sub-pages. Breadcrumbs were also used to help users know where they were on the site, and easily navigate back to parent pages.

Advice and support during the build was fantastic.

What a wonderful experience to be involved with a web designer and builder who worked with us to understand our needs and produce a quality website that I am proud to show to our customers.

Many clients have commented on the look and feel of the website and the advice and support during the build was fantastic.
